Open CV hardware/software platforms effectively tested, test reports for released stable versions

asked 2013-10-23 10:31:13 -0600

Hello everybody,

I am new to OpenCv so please bear with me if I am asking the obvious questions with obvious answers here.

My problem is that I tried to get answers to these questions on the OpenCv site or by googling and was unable to find some clear answer.

One question would be about the hardware and software platforms OpenCV is efectively tested on during build.

I.e. is OpenCv effectively tested on Intel processors with SSE2 or AVX. Same for software platforms: For instance is it tested on Windows Xp (32 bit), Windows 7 (64 bit)?

Is there a place where supported/required hardware is documented. I.e. I know there are optimizations for MMX up to AVX extensions in the 2.4.6 version also there is a CUDA module (probably implies dependency on NVIDIA hardware any speciffic hardware?).

From all supported/required platforms which one are effectively tested in reality?

Where can I find the test reports for released stable versions? Is there a place where the code coverage for the test reports in the released version is documented?

OpenCV uses BuildBot to run build tests and regressions tests on different platform. You can check it here : http://build.opencv.org/
