IP Camera RTSP Empty Frame Error

I've been using a GoSwift security camera for an openCV project. I'm using it because it can film in 4K and all 4K webcams are currently sold out. The camera does fine for the first few seconds, and then it openCV starts returning only empty frames. I have the camera ethernet cable plugged directly into my computer. I can change the camera settings from the app that comes with it, but changing the settings doesn't seem to do anything. At first I thought it was related to the camera resolution and showing the frame. If I reduced the size of the image before showing it using imshow, it wouldn't fail. If I reduced the resolution, it also wouldn't fail. The problem has now gotten worse, though, and I can only get a few frames before it stops. I don't always have this problem. It seems to happen on an off, independent of how long I have been using it. More often than not it is broken.
