Camera Pose Estimation

Can someone give me a brief primer on camera pose estimation? I have the following problem:

I have a number of pictures of a single pattern shot at different angles and positions. How can I use openCV to find these camera angles and positions? In all the pictures, the pattern is at the same location.

you should use sfm module
